NURSING
a change in job market . a change in interests
a change in plans . a change of mind
a change of heart
Many reasons are given why a college graduate might
re-think his or her options after graduation or even
years in the job market.
One of the biggest reasons might be their interest in
one of the health care fields where graduates with
a nursing degree can find a wealth of opportunities
across the country.
Simply open the local newspaper. Surf hospital websites.
Peruse the nursing journals. Visit a health care job fair.
The career possibilities are well documented.

WANTED:
BY 2025, THE NATIONAL DEMAND FOR
REGISTERED NURSES IS PROJECTED TO
EXCEED 3.5 MILLION, ACCORDING TO
THE US DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND
HUMAN SERVICES.
The national nurse shortage creates multiple opportunities for
graduates of Indiana Wesleyan’s Transition to Nursing Program.
An option for those who have earned a bachelor’s degree but are
still looking for a stable career, this accelerated program offers a
fast track to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
It’s a chance to write yourself a new life story in just 14 months.
PROGRAM PICKS UP THE PACE
To make this transition possible, IWU concentrated the traditional
four-year baccalaureate model.
Both programs include equivalent classroom, clinical, and lab
hours, which provide ample opportunities for students to become
proficient in their nursing knowledge and skills.
Because the Transition to Nursing program is considered full-time
and is an intense 14-month experience, students are advised not
to hold full- or part-time jobs.
