They are the biggest cause of death up to age 39, and indeed the biggest cause of preventable death up to the age of 72. Instead of a debilitating culture of risk aversion, we will be promoting an enabling culture of risk awareness / risk management to prevent accidents and the life-changing injuries that they cause. HSE Guidelines, “Driving at Work,” state that “health and safety law applies to work activities on the road in the same way as it does to all work activities and you need to manage the risks to drivers as part of your health and safety arrangements.” At RoSPA we started our now widely adopted MORR™ campaign in 1996.
